Why a website can be more useful as a compact index than a portfolio brochure.
The best personal sites feel like indexes: current work, useful notes, old experiments, contact paths, and enough context to understand what the author cares about.
That is the direction here. No big marketing page, no heavy animation system, and no content model that requires a database before there is enough content to justify one.
